Further loan for Hart?

Some interesting comments from Birmingham boss Alex McLeish regarding the future of Joe Hart:

"If I can't get Hart permanently, would I settle for another loan season? Yes.

"We have ironed out a few rough edges and I hope City recognise that and give us a bit of goodwill for next season."

This should be the ideal situation moving forward. Hart has been impressive enough this season to ensure that we are not ready to cut ties with him completely, yet seeing him return to the club to sit on the bench benefits nobody.

Whilst many thought Shay Given would be an undoubted first choice for 3-5 years following his signing, should Hart go back to Birmingham (an environment where he appears to be comfortable in) for the 2010/11 season, he could well return in the summer of 2011 undoubtedly a better keeper than when he left - not to mention an England regular.

And ready to take back the number 1 jersey.
