Is city going to get Torres?

I keep hearing rumors that City is trying to get Torres. I was wondering what people's thoughts were on whether or not this would happen. I know that City has the money to get him, but do you think Liverpool is ready to part with him yet, and do you think if they do he will stay in the Premier League? I suppose we have to just wait and see what happens, and watch as Liverpool continues to fall apart.

Torres

Obviously it is not an issue of Torres not being wanted by Liverpool. I don’t know of a team in the world that wouldn’t want the talented striker. But if Liverpool doesn’t make the Champions league, they will be in dire financial straits. Because of that, they might be forced to sell Gerrard, Torres, or both to pay the bills. A top-4 is vital for the Reds.

As a Liverpool fan, I would cry if Torres was sold. Have there been any rumors of discontent from Torres’ end?

Gerrard on the other hand, has been in remarkably poor form lately. If they miss out on the Champions League, I wouldn’t be surprised if they got what they could for him.
