Nigel de Jong again started for the Netherlands as they rounded out their group games with a 2-1 victory over winless Cameroon yesterday evening thanks to goals from Robin van Persie and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.
de Jong had another solid game and came close to getting on the scoresheet, but couldn't quite manage to convert from a van der Vaart free kick.
The Netherlands now face Vladimir Weiss's Slovakian side on Monday afternoon in Durban.
