Nielsen signs extension

Not content with adding a third string senior keeper for the 2010/11 season, the club today announced that Gunnar Nielsen - who literally did have his fifteen minutes of fame - was re-signed to a further one year contract, and then immediately loaned to League One side Tranmere until January.

Perhaps spooked by the situation of having only one fit senior keeper (Nielsen) at the back end of 2009/10 before adding Marton Fulop, the club can now boast four senior keepers - although it would be a major surprise if Stuart Taylor, let alone Nielsen, took to the field during the forthcoming season.
