So ...I may need an English-language stream.

I think I’ve found international ones, but I can’t seem to locate an English one (and it’s not shown in the US otherwise).

Its on FoxSoccer.tv, so surely there’ll be an English feed eventually. Try atdhe.net

I don’t have it because there’s so many free streams. But it might be.

Yeah, I can’t really justify shelling out $160 a year when I can see virtually every game online somewhere, in some fashion

That being said I was shocked this game wasn’t on FSC; wanted to go to the bar and watch

Its on tape delay on FSC+ at 5PM EST.

Thanks!

I think a decent crew of streams will switch once the Bolton-Birmingham game is over.

On the other hand, since Bolton is down to 10 men and Birmingham is up 2, you could probably put together a good argument the game is over already.

I'm having a hellacious stream run.

Can’t find a stream that will stay up more than 10 minutes, or even stay on the game.

Really interested to see if this lineup keeps meshing.

by Gradyforpresident on Aug 29, 2010 2:42 PM BST reply actions

I do too. Some people want to see Silva instead of AJ, but Johnson was much too good not to play today. I say don’t fix what isn’t broken. If we win today, start them against Blackburn, too.

Agreed.

AJ was absurd last week; no reason to put him off the Xi until he’s providing less than we can get elsewhere.

His performance literally made me drop my jaw on several occasions. At this point, he’s better than Silva.

I think an injury or two will ‘solve’ our midfield problem; but that being said we have a glut at the position.

by Gradyforpresident on Aug 29, 2010 2:47 PM BST up reply actions

I’d prefer having a glut over having an injury or two!

Interesting that with all the reports of Super Mario being ready, he’s not on the bench. I doubt we need him, though, and I almost foresee his role this year being in tournaments.

I think you are right and he will be valuable in Europa League but I would love to see what he could do in an EPL game. I hope Mancini throws him in there for a spot start or two and/or gives him some time off the bench this season.

by JoshuaR on Aug 29, 2010 2:56 PM BST up reply actions

As do I, but a player of his caliber will be a huge game changer against, for example, WBA in the League Cup. Mancini can trot out Academy grads + Balotelli and be confident of a win, I think.

Milner would've had all day with that had it come to him.

On the other hand, after Tevez’s issues with having all day, maybe attempting Toure was the right play.

What's in the water in Germany today?

Borussia’s up 6-3 on Leverkusen – 5 saves in the game, and nobody’s been sent off.

Oh, and Leverkusen’s had 61% possession – and 5 fewer shots.

Adebayor warming up.

Likely for either AJ or Milner (I’d guess AJ).

Adebayor in -> Lescottt off.

74th minute. Barry looks to slot over, but I don’t think we’re done here.

On reflection, makes sense.

Lescott was getting wrecked on runs pretty badly this second half; Barry may be able to deal with that better, although he’s not exactly what you’d think of as a typical LB.

Sunderland is all over the place early in the 2nd half.

Just dominating play so far; Lescott is getting wrecked on the left side, and I haven’t seen a ton from AJ today.

by Chris Pendley on Aug 29, 2010 4:12 PM BST reply actions

The wind is doing weird things with the ball.

A Sunderland goal clearance just got stopped by the wind, and Hart had to come out early to fight off a headed-in ball to Bent.

Meanwhile, Micah Richards has had the best chances so far for City, which tells you how well the second half has gone so far.

Very spotty call on Kolo there Sunderland FK from about 25 out, left of goal.

Richardson knocked it way to the right, so no issue.

by Chris Pendley on Aug 29, 2010 4:38 PM BST reply actions

And that's final.

What a terrible way to go down; on the other hand, that penalty was definitely deserved. Still, by all right this was a wasted point at best and likely a wasted three. City never got off their back foot in the second half at all, and for Hart to lose his clean sheet streak on a 93rd-minute penalty is a bit cruel.

Looks like a tough way to go down. Anyone who watched the game able to give a recap? Did City play poorly or were they deserving of a point (or 3)?

by JoshuaR on Aug 29, 2010 5:18 PM BST reply actions

Should have been 2-0 or more up at half. Played like we were three men down in the second. Bewildering half it was.

by Gradyforpresident on Aug 29, 2010 5:32 PM BST up reply actions

Probably had the five best chances in the game to score; none converted.

by Gradyforpresident on Aug 29, 2010 5:32 PM BST up reply actions

Jeez, sounds like a wasted opportunity. Thanks

by JoshuaR on Aug 29, 2010 6:24 PM BST up reply actions

Well

Stamina monster Kieran Richardson shut down his side of the field and bullied down the wing regularly. Lescott’s offensive ineptitude shut down the other side of the field, granted he did keep Sund’s RW play very quiet. This left the middle clogged up and the ball up in the air blowing around in the strong wind. Tevez was a tick off, beyond the missed sitter. Yaya probably shoulda come off at the 60 min mark. Richards is just a PK waiting to happen – but he did play decently besides the late gaffe. Worst we deserved was a point – shoulda had 3 – but Tevez, Yaya and Ade were all denied golden opportunities for one reason or another.

by shroomer on Aug 29, 2010 5:39 PM BST up reply actions

I am going to have to look up Tevez’s miss. I saw a pretty bad one by Wigan Saturday, so I will have to see if this is as bad as that one was.

by JoshuaR on Aug 29, 2010 6:24 PM BST up reply actions

Awful way to start Sunday.

Only got 5 hrs of sleep or so and have been tired all day now.

bah!

by peppersquad on Aug 29, 2010 8:08 PM BST reply actions

City fans are forgetting, the amount of money that we have spent on new players is obscene and we are still losing to teams like Sunderland? This is bad. I’m a City fan, have been since I was young. But with names like Tevez on our teamsheet, a 0-0 against Sunderland is totally unacceptable. Never mind losing 1-0.
