Yesterday's win by Reading over Everton means that victory this evening will see City take on Reading at home for a place in the FA Cup semi-final.
Despite injury and fatigue worries (and not to mention a packed schedule of games coming up) I expect Roberto Mancini to play the strongest side available, meaning David Silva should come back into the line-up although reports suggest Vincent Kompany will again miss out.
Villa have improved somewhat since their 4-0 defeat at Eastlands before Christmas, and of course defeated City 1-0 a few weeks ago but the scorer that day, Darren Bent, is cup-tied and misses out.
A close game is anticipated, but home advantage should be enough to see City progress.
