Very interesting Danny. Thx for sharing. A few stats stand out which confirm the general impression of the season
1) We were useless once we went behind
2) We were poor against other top teams
3) We were anemic in front of goal (until the final few weeks)
To me all these issues are related and will probably be fixed as we march on to the next phase of the ‘project’.
1) Less reliance on the defensive midfield mindset – or at least the substitution of Barry for Milner with his better passing range and more attacking instincts.
2) More production from the sharp end of the pitch
It’s going to be an interesting summer!
