The Good, the Bad and the Annoying
Creative title right?
Anyways as the title suggests I will talk about some good things that have happened since my last post; which was quite a while ago, as well as the really frustrating bad things that are going on amongst this busy transfer window.
The Good: The new addition of Clichy to our above average defense. I like this signing, shows aggressiveness and spirit when taking a player of Clichy's stature from a league rival. A little background on Clichy is required.
Clichy began his professional career at Cannes, in '03 he transferred to Arsenal under the guise of Wenger. In '05 Wenger hoisted the FA Cup, it was also his last season that he would hold a piece of silverware. Clichy spent 8 years under both Wenger and Arsenal.
Why I like this signing: Clichy cost 7 million. Now this is most likely because of his position, however he is a solid player who has proven himself in the EPL league as well for the French National Team since '08. He has ambition, this following quote was taken from AP,
"There is no limit at Manchester City," he said of his new club's ability to lift silverware. "Of course, you have to be realistic but there is no limit. Where they have come from in three years is phenomenal. And I want to win things."
I don't know about you guys but to me that sounds good. He isn't necessarily a world-class player, however he is more then enough to provide much needed depth during City's dash to 3 simultaneous trophies.
The Bad: Stefan Savic who has been tipped as the "best stopper in Europe during the last 12 months" according to Sky Sports is getting his medical under way for City. Yes, I know that's a good thing. The bad part is that Partizan will try to keep him for their run at the CL. Stefan Savic will be a giant steal for City if everything goes smoothly. He is 20 years old and playing at a very high level. Serbian footballers have been known for their defensive prowess, Vidic, Kolarov, Ivanovic, Subotic, I could go on all day. Savic in my opinion needs to arrive before the CL. It will be crucial to plug him in to the atmosphere of Manchester as soon as possible.
The Annoying: As most of you have already heard Tevez has stated publicly that he is itching to leave Manchester. I understand he has family problems however as a person who has moved from various countries and had to re-locate my entire life I find it insulting that he cannot or will not do such a minor task as learning the language after having lived in England for 6 years. Now he claims that he is looking for the best situation for his daughters.
His decisions are poorly thought out and irresponsible. He will never settle down and he will be a wanderer for the rest of his life. No offense to any Bolton fans out there.
In a dark way, I hope Mancini forces him to sit on the bench until his contract runs out. Making him watch professionals such as Dzeko and Super Mario play.
That's all for now, add any comments or thoughts below.

If Tevez is sold
We should sell him to Inter and demand Eto’o in return. There were talks of a Tevez-Eto’o swap last week that Mancini said fell though. Eto’o stated a few weeks ago his desire to play in England, and I think he could be a monster in a City shirt.
Big players make big plays
True, but the question is will this deal happen?
It has failed once so far, so why would this time around be any different?
If I were Mancini I would try to sell him around 30 mil, to recuperate the loses on Dzeko and see if we can receive a serviceable backup. I would also sell him to a terrible league, like the French league or Portugal.

I’m honestly okay with Balotelli and Dzeko, Balotelli settled in nicely at the end of the season and we can expect Dzeko to look better next season. Past that, if Adebayor wants to stick around thats fine, otherwise I’m fine with giving Caicedo another (deserved) shot at being a backup, or even Nimely and Guidetti… I think this is an opportunity to replace from within. Otherwise, City could go for a cheap option like Obafemi Martins to be 3rd striker too… this is of course, assuming they don’t get Aguero, which should now be the #1 focus.

Eto no thanks
A swap deal for Eto would be a bad deal for me Eto as great as he was and he was one of the best finishers in the world. But he is now coming to the end of his career and looking for one more big pay day we have been down that route before and we shouldn’t try it again.
In my opinion we play hard ball with Tevez he stays unless we can get £40 + mil for him then we go for Aguero and Nasri and maybe a decent backup for Joe Hart then were done . shut up shop and concentrate on getting rid off the other lads who need to go

Good new topic... other SBN blogs have similar features for weekly/monthly topics
Savic looks like he’s already here Pre-CL!
Tevez is being a nit again… really tiring on the fans, great to watch on the field. I can finally say that we’ll be ok if he leaves.
Clichy is a bit overrated, but a useful player, paid a bit high for what he’s worth… but not a bad pickup especially if we’re trying to dump Lescott (now we have a solid 2 LBs)
Next pickup would like to see Juan Mata or some creativity or Gareth Barry long-term replacement. That and a striker swap w/ Tevez would be a great wrap-up for year.
I think Clichy is a good pickup, I believe he is only 25 years old.
7 mil for a proven defender is a pretty good price considering that we are paying 10 mil for Savic who has been picked up as you pointed out.
Juan Mata would be an awesome pickup.

im new here but loving having grown ups dicussing man city
Personally for me Clichy is better than Cashley Cole he just played so many years in what is an awful defence that obliviously he struggles at times but who wouldn’t playing in Arsenal’s defence and 7mil is a great price due to his contract situation at Arsenal . I haven’t seen to much of savic to be honest only whats on youtube and what has been on TV but he looks a good prospect but so did Jo but at 7-8mil worth the gamble . For me Tevez has to go now he’s burnt his bridges and will disrupt the team we need to be firm and get at least 40mil for him then id like to see Aguero and Nasri or Mata brought in
