One place I'll be writing at over the course of the season is EPL Index and here I take a look at his importance to the side in tonight's performance, which included the following statistical return:

Passing: 41/48 (85%)
9 shots
1 assist
3/4 tackles won
7/10 possession duels won
1/1 aerial duels won
1 interception

Some all round performance eh?   

UPDATE:

What was of particular interest to me was quite how advanced Toure played, particularly before the introduction of Sergio Aguero when he was very much in support of Edin Dzeko - a tactic we saw towards the end of last season.

This Guardian Chalkboard illustrates this perfectly, showing that some 74% of the passes Toure made were in the Swansea half, the majority of which were around the edge of the box.
