Emmanuel Adebayor was today having a medical with Tottenham as he moved closer to completing his loan move from Manchester City.

The former Arsenal striker will spend the rest of the campaign on loan at White Hart Lane after City agreed to pay some of his £170,000-a-week wages, although it is understood he is taking a pay cut to make sure the deal goes through.
