Per mcfc.co.uk:
Weiss has also headed to Spain, where he will play for Espanyol. The Slovakian winger has made a good impression on previous spells away from City, at Bolton Wanderers in 2009/10 and Rangers for the whole of the last campaign.
Whilst Weiss has been loaned previously, primarily with a view to gaining experience, it is perhaps difficult to draw the same conclusion this time around.
Although he had a positive pre-season, Weiss does appear to be well down the pecking order with a reported permanent deal to Russia hitting a late hitch and his future does now appear to be away from the club.
