A look at who did what in terms of involvement in scoring chances.
Two big stories this week: Micah Richards and James Milner.
First, Milner, who came in from the cold to have an inspired game alongside Gareth Barry as the 'anchors' in City's midfield. This allowed Yaya Toure greater licence from an attacking sense but Milner's +4 rating was important and showed the value of his dead ball delivery (both from corners and free kicks) which helped Micah Richards to a +6 rating.
For a defender, this is an amazing figure considering he had only one defensive plus; the remaining five were from an offensive standpoint - the most I have a defender ever recording.
In supporting roles were Aleksandar Kolarov and Carlos Tevez as City's scoring chances were spread around, with both Tevez's and Sergio Aguero's contributions per 90 mins and 100 touches being very impressive.
With the international break coming up I'll post a 'season so far' article later this week looking at some of the key areas from the opening games of 2012/13.
