Vincent Kompany returns to the City side today as the Blues chase a twenty-first consecutive home victory against Sunderland.

There is no Samir Nasri though but Roberto Mancini sticks with front pairing of Edin Deko and Mario Balotelli, resisting the option of starting with Carlos Tevez who is once again on the bench:
