City's Nigel de Jong was in the Holland side that fell to the tournaments first upset yesterday evening as the much fancied Dutch side fell 1-0 to Denmark yesterday.

de Jong played 71 minutes before Holland threw on Huntelaar and van der Vaart in search of an equaliser and before he was withdrawn de Jong was efficient enough. He had 53 touches, attempted 48 passes (completing 98%) with one key pass, made one tackle, two interceptions and blocked one shot.

Holland will look to get their campaign back on track on Wednesday when they face Germany, who opened up with a 1-0 in over Portugal.
