And there were two. Following England's defeat to Italy (on penalties, naturally) last night there remains just David Silva and Mario Balotelli as City's representatives in Euro 2012 following the conclusion of the quarter-final games.

It was a busy evening for Joe Hart, although he failed to save a penalty in the shoot out, whilst his defensive compatriot Joleon Lescott had his hands full marking Mario Balotelli. James Milner also featured, playing just over an hour before making way for Theo Walcott.

Balotelli was involved throughout and was invovled in plenty of scoring chances but was guilty of missing opportunities to put Italy ahead. He took the first penalty in the shoot out, beating Joe Hart from the spot.

The semi-final match ups are Portugal v Spain and Germany v Italy, meaning we could see a Balotelli v Silva final next Sunday.
