A little out of the blue but confirmed earlier today:

Albion today signed left-back Wayne Bridge on a season-long loan deal from Premier League champions Manchester City.

The 31-year-old, who has over 30 England caps to his name, was one of Gus Poyet's main summer targets and the Albion boss is delighted to have agreed a deal with Bridge and City.

To say the £12million move has far from worked out is somewhat of an understatement (2012/13 is the final year of his contract at the club) and since Mark Hughes signed him in January 2009 Bridge has made just 40 Premier League starts, being frozen out by Roberto Mancini and spending the latter half of the 2010/11 and 2011/12 seasons on loan at West Ham and Sunderland respectively.
