Morning. 10 days to go until the transfer window slams shut and if the papers are anything to go by we might see some activity on the transfer front for Man City. Some sales and one or two purchases.
Liverpool now favourites to sign Adam Johnson.
He is a fine player with a unique skill set at City but he'll be forced out by the numbers game and the more defensively responsible Milner, Nasri and Silva who all, at times, play in the wide areas. He will succeed where ever he goes.
David Silva stalls on contract talks
This article has Silva demanding parity with the best paid Man City players. £200k pw is the ballpark figure. Just pay him the money. He is worth it.
Scott Sinclair is tipped join Man City by Swansea's 1st team coach.
I would neither be offended or delighted if he joined us. An Adam Johnson replacement, and probably cheaper.
City fail in De Rossi pursuit here and here
No surprises. He would of formed some midfield partnership with Toure.
Captain Kompany tells the MEN how Tevez is like a new signing
I agree with Kompany's words here. A focused and lighter Tevez will be an incredible asset for Man City this season. I pray that he remains focused and mature. Ditto for Balotelli.
A nice piece about Man City's kit man and the growing use of slogan t-shirts
