Sergio Aguero returns to training

Stay connected for news and updates

These are photos that will please every Man City City fan; Sergio Aguero on his way back to full fitness.

The 24 year old Argentine has been unavailable for the Blues since suffering a knee injury in Man City's opening game of the 2012/13 season.

Aguero suffered what looked like a very serious knee injury during a clumsy coming together with Saint's full-back, Nathan Clyne. After scans were performed on the injured knee, it was happily announced that just a six week lay off was the required healing time for what was described by the player as 'a heavy knock to the knee'.

The player has returned to training, which is likely to be solely fitness based to begin with. Aguero should be available to play some part in the Arsenal home fixture on the 23rd of September.

I imagine he would be desperate to play in the Champions League fixture in the Bernabau against Real Madrid, but that game should be a few days too soon in terms of his full recovery.

*Incidentally, Myself and Harkiano will be attending the Real Madrid v Man City game at the Bernabau in person, and we shall endeavor to give the reader some unique coverage and content on that fixture.
