A look at City's scoring chances from last weekends game against Arsenal.
A quick look back to the Arsenal game last Sunday to recap the scoring chances (click to enlarge the image):
- With Samir Nasri and Carlos Tevez (through injury and suspension) not starting, this meant City were shorn of their top two scoring chance leaders for the game.
- On his return to the side Sergio Aguero stepped up, with a +5 rating and posting a 11.11 chances per 100 touches rating - ahead of any other player this season. Interestingly, with Aguero back in the side and leading the line this meant that Edin Dzeko's role slightly changed. As a result, he posted only a +2 with a lower than average chances per 100 touches total.
- Despite scoring, Joleon Lescott's shaky start to the season continued as he posted a -2 rating with three errors leading to Arsenal chances. Joe Hart was also forced to make three defences of chances. Worrying times for the defence.
