"I'd rather stay," Agger then adds "I can't imagine playing for any other club in England but you never know if the club think it's better to sell me."
The guardian's excellent minute-by-minute match report
This is the news of the weekend. Mancini has said both Dzeko and Tevez are staying at City. Recently rumors were around that when AC Milan finalized their sales of Silva/Ibra to PSG for an estimated 50 million pounds, that either Tevez or Dzeko would fill that gap. Arsenal have also been close in the rumors due to the appeal of a player swap plus cash deal of RVP for Dzeko and an additional 15-20 million pounds. These latest quotes blow both rumors out of the water. Mancini could also be playing hardball to raise the price on one of the two players but that is a distant notion. For now we have practically the same squad. Our next match is on the 17th of July against Dynamo Dresden. If anything would happen it would have to be before the 17th.
Well the Russian FA links have been put to rest very quickly. Mancini has put his name to paper on a 5 year deal with City. Last week Mancini was connected with the vacancy in the Russian national team. Good move for City to continue what they started. Now if only we could get some players sold... Props to Shinjo for posting this first and scaring me with a little word play.
It is being reported that Mancini is in a shock move to take over the Russian national team vacancy and that City will be compensated 20 million pounds. Seems a little fishy? I don't know what to think of this. A huge part of me is thinking "This is not real" the other part says "Anything could happen".
A very well-written piece on our Italian hitman from someone who isn't a City fan. Thought I would share it here, definitely worth a read.
